About:
The Cosan Mittens are the sister design to the Cosan Cowl. After completing the cowl, I knew I needed to do more with this fun textured colorwork, thus came the Cosan Mittens. I drew inspiration for this from the word Cosan, which in Irish means path or walkway.

These two-color, colorwork mittens have textured chevrons that are dotted with purl bumps. They meander up and down throughout the mittens, like the rocky walkways of Connemara do. My family has deep roots in this region in Co. Galway, Ireland.

Colorwork charts are offered in both light on dark and dark on light so that you don’t have to try and switch them in your head.

These colorwork mittens are an engaging knit, with many concepts to keep you interested. And a quick knit, that used very little yarn.

Designed in two colors, these worsted-weight mittens use only 130 yards of the main and 90 yards of the contrast. They are perfect for an intermediate knitter but engaging enough for an advanced one. It’s a quick stash-busting project available in three sizes.

US 3 (3.25 mm) and US 5 (3.75 mm), 9” (23 cm) circular needle, dpns or needles needed to get gauge.
