The delicate cable pattern and twisted rib motif on the top of the Cosmati Socks is directly inspired by the geometric mosaic floors designed by the Cosmati family, who were a multi-generational family of artists best known for decorating the floors of medieval churches in Rome during the 12th and 13th centuries. The type of interlocking and ornamental designs they created became known broadly as Cosmati floors. The Cosmati Socks are worked from the cuff-down, in the round, using the Magic Loop method and the pattern includes charted and written instructions. These cabled socks are the perfect pair to add to your cozy, hand-knit wardrobe!
