This project ticks all the boxes – a one skein, unisex neck warmer with a very clever stitch technique, making it an almost addictive knit.
Exquisitely simple to make and worked in the round, the satisfying twist of this design is the simple K2, P2, rib pattern combined with a disparate number of stitches to form a mesmerising spiral formation on a fully reversible fabric. It’s a simple idea which has taken a lot of thought, even down to the direction of the spiral which makes the stitch pattern easy to track.
A classic textured accessory with modern, clean lines, my design is stimulating enough to engage experienced knitters whilst at the same time being simple enough to not cause any worries for beginners. A real pick up/put down project, ideal for busy crafters on the move.
The clear stitch definition and lovely softness of Lark result in an amazingly luxurious comforter which is intended to be layered with Borealis as in the photo, making for a year-round versatile combo.
