Cosmos Flower is a very beautiful lace shawl with a lovely drape. It has a semicircular shape and is worked top-down beginning from the center back of the neck. The border of the shawl is rich and gorgeous.

This design was inspired by a round doily found in the vintage “Burda Special, E 903: Gestrickte Spitzen” magazine.

Pattern includes charts and all necessary chart instructions.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 160 cm (63″) along the wingspan and 80 cm (31 ½″) depth; measured after wet blocking.

Finished size depends on yarn choice, needle size, and your individual manner of knitting. The gauge is not crucially important but will affect the finished shawl size and yardage requirements.

MATERIALS USED:

• 100% linen yarn (600 m 656 yds per 100 gram); the sample shawl has required about 918 m 1004 yds or 153 g of yarn.

• Size 5 mm (US 8) circular needles;
