Keep cosy on those chilly winter nights with this stylish hot water bottle cover, which combines irresistible texture with superior warmth. Keeping warm never looked so good! Make them in a range of colours and gift to all your friends and family this Christmas.

Designed to fit a standard two litre hot water bottle, the Cosy Vibes hot water bottle cover is worked from the top down using the suzette stitch, a simple combination of single and double crochet. A satisfyingly quick project that works up fast, this pattern is suitable for abilities from confident beginners upwards. You will need to be familiar with double and single crochet stitches, and working into the back and front post. Written in English using US terminology, the pattern features some handy photos to illustrate the trickier parts of the pattern, as well a photo tutorial for the suzette stitch.

You will need:

  • approximately 165m of chunky (/bulky) weight yarn. I used a total of 115g Stylecraft Special Chunky (100% acrylic).
  • a 6mm hook (or size required to achieve gauge)
  • stitch markers
  • 2 x 20mm buttons (optional)
