I was going to ask you… Will you come to my cottage this summer? We’ll have so much fun knitting together.

The Cottage sweater is the perfect cosy knitting project for those evenings chatting by the fire pit. You’ll work from the top down, starting by knitting the upper front and back pieces flat. Then, you’ll join both pieces together and start working in the round at the underarm. For the sleeves, you will be picking up stitches around the armholes and working regular decreases while alternating colours for some fun striping. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckhole for the ribbed collar, which is worked double length, before being folded and sewn down. The cute loon motifs are added to the front using duplicate stitch at the very end.
