I love making crochet baskets, especially out of cotton yarn. I prefer using cotton for two reasons: first, it doesn’t pill (or get fuzzy) with wear or repeated use but most importantly because cotton yarn doesn’t have a whole lot of stretch once its worked up. That’s a huge plus for a crochet basket!

What are they good for?

The cotton crochet basket pattern is quick, easy and extra versatile. I typically use them as accent decor in my home as shown above, but they are wonderfully practical as well!

Use them to organize your craft room, fill cubbies in your accent table, make the centerpiece of your dining room table…you name it, a cotton crochet basket is almost always your answer (at least in my humble opinion).
