This lovely soft and richly textured mat is made using 100% cotton and the finished product is surprisingly lightweight. It is suitable as a bath mat, rug or throw. The pattern is made by alternating rows of staggered bobbles with double crochet (single crochet US) and finished off with a beautiful full chain fringe or you could omit the fringe if you prefer.

The rug size can be made larger or smaller by increasing or decreasing the number of stitches and increasing or decreasing the number of pattern repeats.

The fibre used is 100% cotton and is used double by crocheting with 2 balls at the same time. The pattern uses approximately 14 x 56.7g (2oz) balls.
