This potholder is made like a double-sided pocket, where you start by making the bottom and then crochet around in circles and slip stitch closed, adding a hanging loop. As you go along you tack the front to the back by catching a loose loop on the inside of the pocket. It’s a quick, fun project and they turn out super cute and handy. I use cotton and advise against using a synthetic because of the melting factor during its exposure to high heat while cooking/baking. I may try it using a wool yarn since it felts/fulls so nicely.
Although the pattern states sc, it works with most any stitch so imagination and personal preference is welcomed in your work.
