Have you been frustrated by crochet instructions for making cubes that result in a shape more like a cylinder with points? This crochet cube pattern will show you how to make crochet cubes that really look like cubes which little ones will love stacking and playing with. There is no need for sewing pieces together or applying stiffening to your project. I have filled my cubes with foam blocks which helps them hold their shape when being thrown about!

This pattern is for intermediate level crocheters and is written instructions.

Materials
1 ball each of stylecraft special DK or other washable DK yarn in a main and contrast colour. The pictured cubes were made with 45g each of Duck Egg and Mocha.

2 inch cubes of foam or stuffing to fill (you can buy 2 inch thick foam pads and cut to size).

Size 4mm (UK 8, US G/6) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge of 24 rows of dc stitches to 10cm.
