The Counting Stars Scarf is all that, and it will keep you toasty warm during the colder months of the year. Construction
The Counting Stars Scarf starts with a provisional cast-on and is first knit from the middle to one end, then from the cast-on edge to the other end.

One size, varies depending on yarn used; 75” / 190 cm in length and 8” / 20 cm in width

Yarn and Yardage
All Points North Super Worsted 100 g (3.5 oz) / 180 yds (165 m); 100% superwash merino; worsted weight in Worn Blue Jeans; 3 skeins, 275g, 495 yds (453 m) used for sample
For embroidering stars:
All Points North Super Worsted in Embers; 48 stars 18” (45 cm) for a total of 72 yds (66 m)

Please note that you need approximately 495 yds for the scarf plus 72 yds for embroidering stars.

Needles and Notions
US6 / 4 mm circular needles, 24” / 61cm length recommended; cable needle; tapestry needle for embroidering and weaving in ends; crochet hook and waste yarn for provisional cast on.

Gauge
21 sts and 25 rows after blocking = 4” / 10cm. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but will affect size and yardage requirements.
