This design was created in collaboration with Lily Stevens from Merino y Vino. This collaboration included a book theme to go along with it. The book is Crazy Brave by Joy Harjo. This book tells an incredible story about Ms. Harjo’s life; the many ups and downs she experienced as she navigated the difficulties she encountered, both from being Native American and a woman.

Finished Measurements
To fit an average adult sized head up to 23” with 2-4” of negative ease.
Taken after blocking:

Height from cast-on edge to top: 8 1/2” / 21.5 cm

23 sts and 27 rounds = 4 inches in charted pattern

Needles
US Size 4 (3.5 mm) and 5 (3.75 mm), 16” (40 cm) circular needles
US Size 5 (3.75 mm) double pointed needles or long circular for magic loop.
