The Covered Bridge Beanie was such a fun project that I worked on with local natural dyers, Linda and Michelle from Color Me Happy Fiber Arts Studio. We thought it would be fun to collaborate on a quintessentially Hoosier hat! The luxurious 2-ply yarn suggested in this pattern is made from a fiber blend of Cormo sheep (80%) and Suri alpaca (20%), raised on small farms in Indiana and naturally dyed by Color Me Happy Fiber Arts Studio in Fishers, Indiana. As a born-and-raised Hoosier native, I am very excited about this design! Covered bridges are such an iconic part of what makes our great state feel so homey and inviting, and I hope that this cozy beanie brings you the same cheerful and comfortable feelings! And, if you aren’t from Indiana, who doesn’t love covered bridges and fall leaves?!

Size:
The Beanie is a one-size fits most adult hat with the option to make a long folded brim or shorten the slouchiness of the hat by making a traditional brim.

Instructions:
The pattern is both written and charted so its a great project for folks new to stranded colorwork knitting.
