I think one of the 10 commandments is, “Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s wife”? What about coveting thy neighbor’s knitwear? Or thy sister-in-law’s knitted hat? I’m pretty sure I’ve broken that commandment here. A few years back my sister-in-law showed up for our annual Christmas tree hunt in this amazing knit hat. I think she bought it and have no idea where, but every time I see her wear it, I just want one for my own. This year I grabbed it off her kitchen counter at brunch and inspected it closely. I was determined to recreate it for my own. I hope you love the result as much as I do.
