I get a lot of my knitwear inspirations from the fashion industry and pop culture. I will see a piece somewhere and try to recreate it in my designs. This particular sweater design was inspired by a sweater Laurie Foreman wore in an episode of “That 70’s Show”. I love the mixture of the striped sleeves with the solid of the rest of the sweater. It’s just enough to make it different.

This is a traditional top down raglan design with a little bit different construction. The sleeves are worked separately as is the beginning of the front and back parts of the sweater. When you reach the underarm the front and back of the sweater are combined and knit as one piece from that point forward. The sleeves are then seamed to the sweater at the raglan line.
