All proceeds from this pattern will be donated to the Covid-19 Regional Response Fund. UPDATE: Over 100 of you have downloaded the pattern since I posted it, which means together we have raised over $400.00! I’m donating money as it comes in so that it can be put to use right away. Keep sharing and downloading. And I love the photos of your projects! Keep those coming too!

I’m not a healthcare professional or an essential employee. I don’t sew, so I can’t make masks to donate. Experts say I’m doing my part by staying home, but I can’t help feeling useless and without purpose, so here’s my contribution: Covid the Coronavirus. Covid makes a great stress ball and is good for playing catch in the house. He is also great for throwing at the TV during press conferences. My kids love him. So put your idle hands to use by knitting Covid. Your efforts will do some good too. Stay Home. Be well. We’re all in this together.

Some nuts and bolts: This pattern is knit in the round with size 6 double pointed needles. It uses worsted weight yarn in grey, red, and yellow. The amounts are small. I used odds and ends from my stash, so great for the quarantine. You will also need black yarn or embroidery thread and safety eyes or buttons for the face, and some fiberfill to stuff him. Happy knitting.
