I just love cow print and thought it would be fun to incorporate it into a bag! The resulting pattern is surprisingly easy.

A rectangle is knit flat with black and white yarn using simple intarsia with just 3 balls of yarn. Additional spots are added afterward in duplicate stitch to customize the pattern. The edges of the rectangle are seamed together, then stitches are picked up along the edge of the tube to knit an oval shaped bottom. The bag is then felted in either a washing machine or dryer. The tab closure and strap and knit and felted separately and sewn to the bag post-felting. Strap length can be customized.
