This pattern is best suited for a confident beginner or intermediate crocheter who is comfortable with color changes. It’s also a made to measure pattern so you can ensure the perfect fit- please reach out to me if you have any questions about sizing!!

Materials
4.5mm hook (or appropriate hook size for your yarn)

4-5 colors of your favorite Aran weight (weight 4) yarn.* You can use acrylic, cotton, or another material if you prefer. This is made to measure and you don’t have to meet gauge.

1 main color for the background

1 color for the outline of the hat (black)

1 color for the background of the hat (white)

1 color for the band of the cowboy hat

optional 1 color for the cow print spots

Scissors

Yarn needle

5 stitch markers

Optional for knit ribbing:

5.0mm (or preferred size for your yarn) circular knitting needles with a 16” cord
