Use any number of fingering weight yarns - my first sample was made with 4 yarns, and my second will be made with five yarns. I have given directions for 4 yarns in the pattern, but use what you have and make it truly unique and yours by using however many yarns you would like. This is a perfect cowl to use up some of your fingering weight scraps. Join Chantel and Me group for discussion, questions, tips, and general ‘showing it off’.

If you are familiar with my patterns, you know I like patterns that are good for social and tv knitting but have some interest to keep me motivated - this cowl was created with that in mind.

To begin thinking about colors and yarns - tonal or solid fingering weight yarn will be best to show off the textures. I knit a bit tight so I have overestimated these totals just a bit.
Color A - you will need 17 grams/ 75 yards. This would work with a LIGHTLY variegated yarn, speckled, tonal or solid.
Color B - you will need 36 grams/ 158 yards. This would work best with a speckled, tonal or solid yarn.
Color C - you will need 24 grams/ 105 yards. This will work best with a speckled, tonal or solid yarn.
Color D - you will need 15 grams/ 66 yards. This will work best with a speckled, tonal or solid yarn.

Gauge isn’t super critical on this project - just get in the ballpark. You can always adjust the height as you are knitting by adding or omitting repeats.

This pattern was originally released as a MKAL with 5 clues released weekly. Purchasing this pattern gives you the pattern as a whole and as a MKAL.
