In Norse cosmology, all beings live in the Nine Worlds that center around the cosmological tree Yggdrasil.

The Tree itself has three major roots and at the base of one of these roots live a trio of Norns, the Norse demi goddesses who create life and determine man’s destiny.

This cowl has an unusual construction and contains a strip of intarsia cables. Ever tried Intarsia Cables? They are not as hard as they sound. Think of it as a cross between normal Intarsia with knits and purls or a variation on colorwork.
Once this strip has been knitted, stitches are then picked up
down one side of the strip and a garter stitch asymmetrical
section is knitted. The ends of this are then joined to the top
edge of the cabled section to create a cowl. Sound
complicated? It really isn’t
