Coyoacan is one of the most colorful neighborhoods of Mexico City, and it’s where my dad used to take us out for ice cream every Sunday. And just like this tank top, it evokes feelings of happiness, simpler times, childhood and more importantly, my love of mexican sweets and ice cream. It is worked bottom up with an infinite number of adaptations. You can adjust the number of rows of hearts, the length of the body, the colors and the striping. It is a versatile warm weather garment that will undoubtedly bring joy to your wardrobe.

Materials
YARN: Fingering or light sport cotton yarn (size 1 or 2).
Amounts vary depending on design preferences and size.
Main color: (XS) 380 m, (S) 400 m, (M) 420 m, (L) 500 m, (XL) 580 m, (2XL) 680m, (3XL) 800 m, (4XL) 920 m for a cropped top.
Contrasting Colors: 2 or more colors different from MC. Each heart requires about 25 m of yarn (this is an overestimation but better to have more than not enough). Around the body on each row of hearts: XS has 7 hearts, S and M have 8, L, XL and XXL have 9, 3XL has 10 and 4XL has 11 hearts. For a size L with 2 rows of 9 hearts each in 3 different colors, you need around 150 m of each color total (3 hearts x 2 rows x 25 g = 150 g) plus a little more for the stripes.
Sample is size L and used PerformanceYarn, Cotton Eight, 100% Cotton.
It is NOT recommended to use yarn that tends to pile and tangle since the colorwork requires using multiple strands at the same time.

This pattern comes in 8 different sizes.
These are the finished garment measurements around bust: (XS) 75.5 cm, (S) 85.5 cm, (M) 95 cm, (L) 105 cm, (XL) 115 cm, (2XL) 125.5 cm, (3XL) 132.5 cm, (4XL) 142.5 cm.
