This cocoon-style cardigan is fast, easy, and oh so cozy! Made as one large rectangle with only two small seams and cuffs and a collar added, it’s perfect for crocheting as you watch your favorite shows or have coffee with a friend.

The oversized fit feels like wrapping yourself in a blanket, and the simple construction means you can easily adjust the size if you want.

Worked on a large hook, just 8 stitches and 7 rows makes a 4-inch swatch in alpine stitch. The loose material drapes and stays extra soft.

In addition to a 10mm crochet hook, you’ll need a measuring tape, stitch markers (optional, but helpful), and a large tapestry needle.

For the sample, I used 7 skeins of Patons Alpaca Blend in Slate.
