This pattern creates a large, cozy, pleasantly textured blanket that you (and a loved one!) will enjoy snuggling under for years to come.

This knits up into a throw about 5 feet square, but could easily be adjusted based on yarn available and personal whim. It calls for about 2800 yards (13 skeins) of worsted-weight or aran-weight yarn. The sample was knit in Malabrigo Yarn Worsted but nearly any yarn of your preference will do nicely, though I would suggest avoiding very drapey yarns such as alpaca, modal, bamboo, or silk since they would make the blanket very heavy and cause it to stretch.
