This Dragonpine Designs pattern was designed by Janet Filipchuk and Judy Turner.

This pattern is written for the LK150 knitting machine (mid-gauge 6.5mm knitting machine). Pattern includes extensive written instructions (8 pages including high-resolution photographs of all stitches and techniques, and a pattern schematic). Full row counts, needle number references, and carriage positions are given in easy to follow written instructions for ease of keeping track of progress.

The pattern for this afghan or throw gives you TWO size options: both are 48” wide, while one is 61” long as a lap blanket and the other is 72” long for sleeping under.

The blanket consists of 5 braided cables separating larger panels of textured cable twists. It is knit flat in 2 pieces, and the pieces are mattress-stitched together once completed. It is possible, if you would like a wider afghan, to repeat Panel 2 a second time to add approximately 20” of width. Makes a beautiful gift! This afghan is much easier than it looks!
