This easy, bottom-up sweater is worked flat in pieces and then seamed, making it a perfect project if you want a fast and straightforward knit. The rolled edge neckline adds a casual touch, while the option to use either single-strand Worsted or double-strand Sport yarn lets you customize the weight and feel of your pullover.

Skill level: Easy
Sizes: Women’s S (M, L, XL, 2XL)
Finished Measurements - Chest: 36″ (40″, 44″, 48″, 52″) = 91 (101.5, 112, 122, 132) cm
Yarn: The sample sweater was knitted with two strands of sport weight (5 ply) yarn held together, using warm-toned leftovers: Drops Safran and Drops Loves You 7. This combination creates a marled effect, gives a Worsted weight thickness, and matches the required gauge (see Gauge).
If you prefer to work with a single strand, you can use any Worsted weight yarn, 110 yds / 100 m per 50 g, that achieves the same gauge. For example, if you want a warm winter sweater, you can choose Cascade 220 (Cascade Yarns, wool). For a lighter option suitable for spring or autumn, you can choose Comfy (Knit Picks, cotton).
Yarn requirements: 550 (600, 650, 750, 800) g = 11 (12, 13, 14, 16) balls.
Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) and US 8 (5 mm), straight and circular, 16″ (40 cm) long
Gauge: 18 sts × 26 rows = 4″ × 4″ (10 × 10 cm)
Notions: Stitch holders (or waste yarn), stitch markers (or loops of yarn)
