This super easy and cozy crocheted pocket shawl can be made with your favorite Medium Weight Yarn.

If you have a different yarn you would like to use instead, it is easy to substitute because this pattern’s stitch multiple to work with is one single stitch.

We make this pocket shawl by working back and forth in rows. The pockets are created separately (so you can omit them if you want) and then sewn on by hand.

This PDF pattern includes the Stitch Diagram for the Scarf, the pockets and the edging.

I made my sample project using 2 colors but this will look beautiful in one single color, or a variegated yarn.

I love the texture and stretchy feeling of the fabric when crocheted using the herringbone hdc. There are no large gaps or holes between stitches and the shawl is comfortable to wear.

Perfect pocket shawl for everyday wear.

Have fun making this project!
