DIGITAL PATTERN (INSTRUCTIONS) on how to make the item--CozyGrip Cast Iron Pan Handle Crochet Cover--yourself.

Instructions are written in English only. Standard US terminology with metric sizes.

Pattern difficulty: Easy

This cast iron pan handle cover gives you a nice cozy grip. It can be used instead of a pot holder — it fits snugly around the handle and allow you to hold your skillet safely. The construction is doubled and extra thick to provide you maximum protection against heat. You will fall in love with it.

Use on stove top only, may be left on while cooking. Not suitable to be placed in the oven while baking. You can however easily
slip it on the handle before removing the skillet from the oven.

It stretches and the pattern can be adapted to fit on any types of cast iron skillet/pan handles. Each has a little loop at the end and can be placed on a hook for easy reach.

Note: Use 100% cotton yarn only as synthetic yarn will melt.

Materials:

• H (5mm) crochet hook
• About 50 yards (45 metres) weight #4 100% cotton yarn (this is more than you’ll actually need, I can get 2 covers in a 1.5 oz / 42.5 g ball of Bernat Handicrafter). Any other 100% cotton yarn of the same weight is suitable.
• Stitch markers, I use safety pins or bobby pins. You can also use a piece of yarn in a different color
• Tapestry needle and scissors
