This pattern is super short and very approachable but with cute results!

Skill level: beginner

Stitches used: chain, single crochet, increase

The pattern is the same for both the brooch and the earrings. The yarn weight is also the same. I used a 4 mm hook for the brooch and a 1.75 mm hook for the earrings. The size difference between the two finished products is relatively slight but I found it to make for good proportions.

You will also need some scrap plastic from the top of a yogurt or ice cream tub to give the crabs a rigid shape, beads for the eyes, earring hooks, and a brooch pin or safety pin.
