The perfect coat for a doll to throw on when heading out for some open-air painting.

This easy yet stylish coat fits dolls from 12-50cm/5-20”. Knitted top-down, the body of the coat is worked flat, then separated for the sleeves, which are worked in the round. The collar is then picked up from the cast-on edge, worked in moss stitch and finished with a dainty picot bind off. Sizes 1-3 can be worked either small or large through a change in needle size and yarn weight.

Please note, for most dolls with a height below 9”/24cm height you will need sock yarn and 2.25mm needles. For dolls 9”/24cm or taller you will need DK yarn and 4mm needles.

To knit this coat you will need: DK or sock/4ply yarn, circular or double-pointed needles, spare yarn, 4 stitch markers, 3 buttons.
