This is the perfect first project for a beginner. Knit in the round, the first messy rows are hidden by the roll of the cowl. You only have to master the knit stitch and just keep repeating that one stitch until you have run out of yarn! Get someone to cast on for you or check out the video suggestions in the pattern.
