I have officially accomplished a goal of mine! To publish and create my own design! I’m just too stinkin excited to have it out there!
It’s been awhile in the making - I was always very adament that I must follow a pattern rather than write my own. Today’s the day that changes! I have listed a few options of yarns which are my favorites, but you’re more than welcome to use a yarn of your choosing! The options are endless, maybe you even wish to hold a fingering weight, such as Oxford, doubled!

As for Crash and Burn - well that sounds like a disaster - but I got the name from a sign. Our hobby is racing sprint cars! We race multiple nights of the week. The night I started writing this pattern (at the Reading Fairgrounds); we were leading the race - prepared to win! The throttle stuck and we crashed out! If that weren’t enough of a sign - the song over the loudspeakers was “Crash and Burn” by Thomas Rhett. Hence, the naming of my first pattern which I hope to not actually “crash and burn”.

Enjoy this hat! I love mine! I have more than one and have gifted one or two already! If you would like help, have any suggestions, questions, concerns contact me please! I will enjoy seeing projects!

ERRATA; rookie mistake! The borders cut off some of my text boxes on the published version vs. my version! Thank you for letting me know at this moment;
Row 4 of the body - at the very end there’s a K1 cut off.
