I found several projects without a pattern and decided to publish one to help others make one, too. I first saw jpknitknot’s project here, then used notes by swellknitter here.

I used Opal sock yarn to make this with 40” 2.25mm circular needles using magic loop. I used the “Create Your Own Tumbler” from Starbucks, as others have used.

I was able to buy the mug online at the Starbucks store, here. Others have said when it’s out of stock, they found it on eBay.

I used under 15 grams of sock yarn. This would be an excellent project to use a mini-skein! Mine used 65 yards, but others have reported using up to 80 yards (depending on your yarn and gauge).

I provided a rough guide, inspired by swellknitter, as well as specific notes from the way I made my mug. I hope it helps! Enjoy!
