Size is easily adaptable. Samples shown are size Adult S.

YARN
Any yarns from fingering to worsted weight can be used. The yardages provided are estimates. The required yardage will depend on your yarn choice, gauge, and desired size.

Fingering or Sport weight yarns in the following yardage / meterage:
MC: 230 (285, 325) yds / 210 (261, 297) m
CC: 120 (145, 170) yds / 110 (133, 155) m

DK or Worsted weight yarns in the following yardage / meterage:
MC: 175 (215, 250) yds / 160 (197, 229) m
CC: 90 (110, 130) yds / 82 (100, 119) m

GAUGE
Gauge will depend on your yarn choice and needle size. Below are gauge recommendations by yarn weight to get you started. Gauge is measured in stitch pattern after blocking.

Fingering Weight: 24 sts x 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm
Sport Weight: 22 sts x 30 rows = 4” / 10 cm
DK Weight: 20 sts x 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm
Worsted Weight: 18 sts x 25 rows = 4” / 10 cm

Select the needle size that creates a fabric you like with the yarns you choose. As a starting point, below are suggested needle sizes by yarn weight.

Fingering weight: US 4 / 3.5mm – 24” / 61 cm circular needles.
Sport weight: US 5 / 3.75 mm – 24” / 61 cm circular needles.
DK weight: US 6 / 4mm – 24” / 61 cm circular needles.
Worsted weight: US 7 / 4.5mm – 24” / 61 cm circular needles.
