Criss Crosshatch Shawl is the lace version of the motif found on the Criss Crosshatch Cowl, a pattern I released in 2018. For this version, the motif shows up between the yarnovers that make up the lace. Written and charted instructions are provided, for either a scarf or a shawl version, requiring 800 or 1200 yards respectively. However the pattern is easily customizable for both the width and the length.

The edge of the shawl is a sleek, clean slipped-stitch selvedge and for knitters who are used to lace work, the pattern will become intuitive after a few repeats. Blocking is strongly recommended to achieve a truly finished project.
