This bag is completely customizable. It is perfect for the favorite reader in your life or a child just learning how. You can add as much or do as little to it as you would like. I added a quotation embroidered on the handle of my bag from Pride and Prejudice. More pictures to come on that, it is a work in progress. The pattern does suggest some embroidery ideas. This pattern is for anyone from beginner to advanced. It involves simple decreases, double crochet, and some knowledge of sewing things together.
