Accessibility Statement:

This pattern has a print disability and screen reader friendly version.

Color-blind accessible:

Both the standard and low-vision versions of this pattern are color-blind accessible as they include graphs that are set in black and white (using symbols that represent the colors) as well as written instructions that do not rely on color.

Low-vision format:

The low-vision format of this pattern is 24-point Arial (sans serif), black text on white background, no italics, no columns or tables. Images have alt text. Pattern includes a hyperlinked (clickable) table of contents for ease of navigation. The pattern includes two sets of written instructions, one with colors represented by abbreviations which are defined and one with the color names fully spelled out.

Although this pattern can be made without reference to the graphs, we have included a separate file with two large-print (24-point type) graphs, one full color and one black and white, should you wish to have a large-print graph for reference.

Screen Reader:

The low-vision format is tagged to work with screen reading software. Accessibility has been validated using Adobe Acrobat Pro’s accessibility checker and read aloud function. Where color abbreviations are used, they have been defined. There is also a second set of instructions using the full color names with no abbreviations. There is a separate PDF file with large print (24 pt) graphs which are formatted for printing and not intended for use with a screen reader.
