This is a crochet pattern only, not a finished product.

The poison ivy cardigan is a super soft and lacy cardigan with vine like stripes. It is the second piece in my new collection where I name designs after poisonous plants in hopes that you’ll get a confidence boost while wearing it and feel fierce.

• customize the fit of the cardigan to your liking! You can make yours more or less lacy than mine, more or less open and more or less fitted.

Materials:
- yarn:
Yarn 1: super fine to fine weight cotton (weight 1-2) (choose the yarn weight based on your desired thickness of the cardigan).
Yarn 2: lace weight alpaca or mohair (weight 0) (alpaca will add more drape and weight than mohair. If you can’t find lace weight alpaca and really want to use alpaca, fingering weight alpaca should work too).
I used 1 cone of 100 % cotton sequin yarn (200 g/600 m, fingering weight) (Woolstock.dk, label says “ZLWXL”) and 3 skeins of lace weight alpaca yarn from Sandness.

• Crochet hook: you’ll need 2 hook sizes. Primary hook (“PH”): 4 mm larger than the (largest) size listed on your cotton yarn. My yarn label recommended size 1.75-2.5 mm, and I used size 6,5. If you don’t want your cardigan to be as lacy as mine, go for 3-3.5 mm larger than the listed size. If you’re making yours single-stranded with fluffy yarn: 3-4 mm larger than the hook listed on your label (depending on how lacy you want the cardigan to be). If you’re making yours single-stranded with non-fluffy yarn: 2-2.5 mm larger thanthe size listed on your label.

Secondary hook (“SH”): 2 mm smaller than your primary hook size. I used size 4.5 mm.

• Yarn needle: you will need the needle to sew the shoulder panels together.

• Other materials: scissors and stitch markers (2).
