Maybe you want to learn but never found a tutorial. I hope this simple pattern for a crochet circle, along with the photos about the ‘magic loop’ can help you.

Why bother? well, using magic loop is really useful. First of all, you never have that pesky little hole in your patterns when making hats or coasters or bag bottoms! also, you can do fun stuff like make flowers or begin patterns very quickly and easily. Interested in amigurumi? (crochet toys) then you’ll need to learn magic loop too!
I promise, once you get the hang of it, you’ll swear by it too!
It’s really not hard. It’s just different if you haven’t used it before.

What are circles useful for? coasters, pet beds, beginning of hats, rugs, toys, all sorts of things!
