Crochet easter egg
Materials & Tools:
- Large polystyrene egg
- Velvet yarn: Velluto Miss Tricot Filati, antique pink (code 6)
- White cotton yarn for decoration
- Crochet hook 6.5 mm
- Yarn needle,
- scissors
Skill Level: Easy / Beginner-friendly
Finished Size: Large Easter egg (base polystyrene approx. 12–15 cm)
Techniques & Tips:
- Worked in continuous rounds (spiral)
- Do not start with a magic ring; begin with 2 chains instead to avoid breaking the velvet yarn
- Insert the polystyrene egg halfway through the project
- Use a stitch marker to keep track of rounds
- Create spiral chain decoration after the egg is fully covered
- Skip 3 rounds between each chain line to create stripes
- Use pastel colors for a classic Easter look
