This pattern is for a simple crochet hat with earflaps. The earflaps are on the smaller size so they don’t require tassels, but those could be added if desired.

I designed this specific pattern for a 23.5 inch head circumference, but you could adjust the pattern to fit your needs by not making as many increasing rounds and then modifying the stitch count as the pattern continues.

It’s worked with two strands of yarn held together at all times. Any worsted weight yarn will do and in any color combination you like. I chose to go with two shades of grey for the main part of the hat and two strands of black for the stripe and edge.
