The overlapping shells of this crochet lace necklace give the piece a subtle ruffle for a romantic, feminine look. The string of shells form a natural arch around the neck with a soft drape. Chains on either end make the necklace length adjustable. Stitches used include chain, slip, and double crochet.

MATERIALS
25 yards size 10 bedspread weight cotton thread in the color Cream or Off-white
Size 5 steel crochet hook
Large needle
Beading Supplies:

  • 11 6mm cultured pearls - white rice
  • 6 6mm bicone crystal – Olivine*
  • 5 4mm bicone crystal - Mocca*
  • 5 4mm bicone crystal - Light Topaz*
  • 5 4mm bicone crystal - Olivine*
  • 1 8mm or 10mm gold jump ring
  • 11 2” gold head pins with ball end
  • 14 5mm or 6mm gold jump rings
  • 6 inches of gold plated chain link, divided in half
  • 1 gold lobster clasp
  • chain nose pliers (2 pairs if possible)
  • round nose pliers
  • small wire cutters
