Materials :
Shown in 7 sets of The Knitting Goddess mini skeins in Shades of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Turquoise, Blue and Violet. The yarn used is 75% British wool, 25% nylon and has 40 meters to each 10 gram skein. You will need a minimum of 8 grams and 32 meters of 49 colours.

A 4mm crochet hook (or size needed to obtain correct tension).
Absolutely correct tension is not essential, however any differences will alter both the yarn required and the finished size of the wrap.

You will also need a needle for darning in ends.

Tension :
13 linen stitches and 30 rows to 10cm in 4ply wool and nylon
One linen stitch = 1dc + 1ch into a ch space. Absolutely correct tension is not essential, but any differences will alter the finished size of the cowl and the amount of yarn required.

The pattern is worked in rows, and a new colour is joined at the start of each row. You have three choices about how you treat all of the ends

  1. Embrace the ends and decide that your wrap would love a fringe. If so leave a 15cm tail when joining and cutting off yarns.
  2. Crochet the ends in as you go. This is a little tricky as you have a lot of ends.
  3. Darn the ends in. I did this by darning 2 ends at a time and it hides the ends completely.
