Crochet ribbed beanie. Crocheted in the round. Familiarity with Magic Circle, Front Post and Back Post double crochet as well as Tunisian Knit Stitch for the brim are required.

The hat is made with alternating Front Post and Back Post double crochet stitches. Difficulty can arise with increasing and maintaining stitch count. The ribbed texture is created from continuous Front Post DCing around Front Post DC (FPDC), and Back Post DCing around Back Post DC (BPDC).

One skein of fingering weight yarn should be enough. For a tighter fabric, go down a hook size. For a looser fit, go up a hook size.

Around 350 yards should be enough with some left over.

It is my first written pattern I’ve published so any and all feedback is helpful! Thank you and I hope you enjoy your beanie!
