Crochet Shemagh
Inspired by the traditional keffiyeh, this crochet shemagh pattern offers a stylish, handmade version of the classic triangular scarf. Designed with comfort and versatility in mind, it features simple stitches and a clean, geometric look that drapes beautifully.
Notes:
This pattern uses US terminology
Skill Level - Beginner
Square brackets indicate the pattern and the number of times it is repeated
Round brackets ( ) indicate the number of stitches you should have after each round/row.
The stitches between two commas or within brackets are all supposed to be made into one stitch.
Materials:
Yarn – Weight-3 acrylic yarn in red and white (approx. 100gms each)
Hook – 4mm hook
Scissors
Yarn needle
Measuring Tape (optional)
You can use this pattern with any type of yarn with the recommended hook size.
Abbreviations:
st/sts – stitch/stitches
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
sk st - skip stitch
sl st – slip stitch
dec - decrease
