I was so inspired by the texture of this stitch when making the diamond trellis basket by Esther Chandler that I immediately started thinking about using that stitch to make a pair of slippers. The sturdiness, thickness of the piece make it ideal for footwear; eliminating the need to make soles for the shoes!

Materials:
 250 yd of worsted weight yarn (130g or 4.5 oz)
 Crochet hook size H (5.00 mm)
 Needle to weave in ends

Sizing:
This pattern creates a slipper 10.5” long and 4” wide or a women’s size Large (9-12). Using a G hook will create slippers that are 9” long and 3.75” wide or a women’s size Medium (5-8.5). Different weight yarn will also affect size.

Gauge:
3 diamonds across and 3.5 diamonds high = 4” in pattern with H hook.
