I have made 3 hats to make sure the pattern is correct in every detail. The shell stitch design makes it such a pretty hat to crochet for the special baby in your life but also very practical, no tight brim as in many other baby crocheted hats. Also easy to make bigger. Just increase the hook size and work more rows. You will have access to both patterns, one with UK terms and the other for the US and rest of world, so you can use whichever you prefer. Great as a Baby Shower Gift.

Gauge is 3 pattern repeats across and 10 rounds down to 4”

Materials needed are:
DK Yarn
4.5mm Crochet Hook, 4mm for Micro Preemie size
Large eyed wool needle
Stitch Marker X 1

Size of finished hats:
Micro Preemie: 10”/12” round brim (unstretched/stretched) Height: 4”
Preemie: 11”/13” round brim, Height: 4.5”
Newborn to 3 Months::14”/16” round brim, Height: 5.5” (longer if needed)
