I use Baby Sayelle, this set is a little large for a newborn, but they grow so fast it soon fits them. Actually by 6 months it is getting a little tight, unless you have a small baby.
I have never used the colours in the picture they are from the book with the original pattern. I have made 6 of these and used white as my main colour and for the clusters have used different colours of pastel baby yarn. In one I used pink, blue, green and yellow. It turned out lovely.

MATERIALS:- Baby Yarn (25 g), You will need 4 balls main colour B and 2 balls contrasting colour A for set. If made separately, 2 balls main colour B and 2 balls contrasting colour A for jacket; 1 ball each main colour B and contrasting colour A for bonnet or bootees.
One 2.00 mm aluminum crochet hook or whichever hook you require to produce the tension given below. You will also need a length of ribbon and 1 button.

TENSION:- 5 spaces and 12 rows = 2 inches over pattern.
