October 2014: I’ve added a chart to the pattern to make it much easier to read.

One tester used 2 grams (4 yards) of Caron Simply Soft yarn with a 4 mm hook. It measures 3.25 inches tall and 3 inches wide.

I used 100% cotton with a 2.5 mm hook. It measured 2.25 inches tall and 2.25 inches wide.

Feb. 17: For row 17: the “3rd sc” is the 3rd sc from the row 12.
