A basic tam in reverse stockinette with cabled patterning. Croi means ‘heart’ in Gaelic, and the cabled knots look like a ring of hearts around the tam.

There are 2 sizes to this pattern, depending on the yarn and gauge you choose. Sample in grey is the small size, brown is the large size.

Small: Fingering/sport yarn, 25 sts per 4”; fits head 20-22” around, top diameter is 9.5”, requires about 170 yds yarn.
Large: DK/worsted yarn, 20 sts per 4”; fits head 22-23” around, top diameter is 10.5”, requires about 145 yds yarn.

Notions: blunt needle, stitch marker, 2 cable needles.
