Cromwell is the neighborhood in Baltimore County where I live with my lovely husband, for whom these were designed. These socks feature a cable running the length of the front and down the back, through the heel flap.

Finished Size: S (M, L) 7” (8”, 9” around), unstretched

Yarn: Neighborhood Fiber Company Studio Sock, 100% SW Merino/20% Nylon, 400 yards/100g (Sample knit in Patterson Park)

Needles: Set of 5 double-pointed needles or two circular needles size 1 US (2.5 mm), or size to obtain gauge

Gauge: 8 stitches per inch in stockinette, knit in the round.

Note: These really like to use the yardage, moreso than a typical cabled sock. A pair of medium women’s size 10 used 88 grams of Studio Sock. Ensure you have enough to complete your pair.
